delinquent in abandonment -- Poetry 2011

edging nearer to decline

vision's hand maiden -

glasses - became stronger

enabling lost focus to rebound.

advantage of weaker eyesight

was the ability to un-focus

by simply removing clarity

by folding the frames,

slipping them into a case…

the fuzzy sight was

necessary to keep sanity.

humming a chant relieved

ears from the responsibility

to respond as well...

there was a point seeming

to be committedly mad...

people left her alone.
